Movember
This year i will be giving it a go, be more like bum fluff than a full on Merv Hughes, but its raising money and awareness about tackling some of the most significant health issues faced by men.

Maybe in today's world were the likes of "me too" and LGBT and gender equality are the hot and important topics its a bit of a non news worthy event, and seen nothing on WHO about it???? Which given we have had a few threads with Mens issues recently is a surprise!

Re: Movember
Funny you should mention it Mike as I do similar but go for the Werewolf look with my nasal and lobe hair. The only downside is getting the froth of your beer stuck under your nose.

Re: Movember
Debs - only worked out it was related to men's health by reading the thread back after I posted. Still don't get it. What does growing facial hair have to do with it and how does it help ? Is it men's health in general or a specific condition ? Who decides these things ?

Anyway, fuck it and good luck to all with their beards, goaties and 'taches.

Re: Movember
Mart- i think its come to challenge apathy of men towards their health problems or the fears they may have that prevent them from addressing said problems.

Now this I just do not get. WTF is it all about ? Where did it come from ? Who gives a fuck ?

Re: Movember
I used to cunt off all of this awareness shit as nothing but attention-seeking for wankers, but it's only when you get ill yourself that you realise how important that it is. In my case, mental illness with severe anxiety and depression.

I'm starting to become a lot less cynical about these kind of things now. I'll chuck money at whoever wants sponsorship. Only a couple of quid though as I'm still a selfish cunt. I want to spend most of my money on me.

Never trust a bloke with a beard, must have something to hide? That bloke who sang two little boys springs to mind...

Re: Movember
It's just about possible to say womxn as it is spelt*, if you interpret the x as if it were the ch in loch.

*I have resisted the US-based spell-checker through sheer force of character here

Re: Movember
Slightly 'off-topic' but it's all well and good spelling womxn with an x but how do you pronounce it so it doesn't sound like the woman/women?

Asking for a friend.

Re: Movember
Yeah it's all fine now. Caught it very early.

Had a very rare form. So my bollock was shipped off to America to be studied. It leads a more jet set lifestyle than I do.

I've done November for years. Even before I had it.

I can't grow a porter tache but if it were easy or looked good it wouldn't be a challenge

Debs.

I've had testicular cancer.

Doing this raises money and awareness to help other people beat it.
